Dispersive Pipette Extraction + SALLECarmen Adamson
Clean-up Method for Rapid Analysis in Biological Samples
This method combines dispersive pipette extraction and SALLE (Salting-out Assisted Liquid-Liquid Extraction) for a novel cleanup mechanism. dSPE tips can house DPX high quality sorbents, like Weak Anion Exchange (WAX) or Reverse Phase (RP) for cleanup and the salt (S) necessary for SALLE. This methodology is ideal for applications that require acetonitrile for protein precipitation and are focused on hydrophobic analytes.
Example: WAX-S Tips, RP-S Tips
Aspirate and dispense steps mix sample solution and loose sorbent material. Added salt (S) assists in phase separation during extraction.
