Technology Overview

Dispersive Pipette Extraction Technology

INTip™ Chemistry

Dispersive pipette extraction is a patented technology that introduces the benefits of solid phase extraction into a revolutionary, easy-to-use pipette tip. This device is unique from all other SPE devices because sorbent material is loosely contained within a tip. Dispersive pipette extraction provides an INTip solution for complete sample preparation that can be easily automated. The loose sorbent mixes with a sample solution during aspirate and dispense steps and enables a highly efficient interaction of the sorbent and analyte of interest for accurate downstream analysis. This technology is ideal for bind – wash – elute and/or cleanup protocols.

Advantages

  • High extraction efficiencies
  • Unparalleled ease-of-use
  • Seamless integration with most pipetting systems (manual, semi- and fully automated)
  • Rapid extraction times

dSPE Tips

dSPE tips are available in a variety of tip styles, volumes and high quality sorbents. Sorbent chemistries can be combined to provide a customized mixed mode product. dSPE tips are available in a variety of tip styles to fit all throughput needs.

Micro-elution dSPE Tips

Micro-elution dSPE tips provide fast dispersive solid-phase extractions with minimal elution volumes for maximum concentration effects. μElution dSPE tips are available with 1-3 mg of sorbent and utilize a unique low-retention frit. This allows for elution volumes as low as 25 μL, thereby eliminating time-consuming solvent evaporation steps.

dSPE + S Tips

dSPE + S combine dispersive pipette extraction and SALLE (Salting-out Assisted Liquid-Liquid Extraction) for a novel cleanup mechanism. dSPE + S tips can house DPX high quality sorbents, like Weak Anion Exchange (WAX) or Reverse Phase (RP) for cleanup and the salt (S) necessary for SALLE. This methodology is ideal for applications that require acetonitrile for protein precipitation and are focused on hydrophobic analytes.

HybridSPE® Phospholipid Removal Technology

  • Seamless integration with most pipetting systems (manual, semi- and fully automated)
  • Unique Retention Mechanism of HybridSPE®-Phospholipid Technology Allows for Separation of Even Very Hydrophobic Analytes from Phospholipid Contaminants in Biological Sample Matrices

Tip-on-Tip (ToT™) Technology

How it Works

Tip-on-Tip (ToT) is a patent pending technology that combines a top conductive wide bore pipette tip with a bottom tip for filtration or SPE methods. This extremely versatile technology provides a fast, automated INTip™ solution for a variety of applications.

ToT Filtration

ToT Filtration methods provide a fast, automated tip-based solution for filtration/centrifugation. This methodology is ideal for high-throughput online protein precipitation and filtration, beta-glucuronidase removal, or any other particulate removal.

ToT Filtration requires a top wide bore conductive tip and a bottom DPX Filtration tip.

Advantages

  • Automated solution
  • Variety of applications
  • No positive pressure/vacuum manifold
  • High throughput
  • Low cost

ToT SPE

ToT SPE Technology provides a fast, automated INTip solution for a variety of applications including immunoaffinity. ToT SPE is ideal for applications that require specific incubation conditions between sorbent and sample solution.

ToT SPE requires a top wide bore conductive tip and a bottom Single Phase Filtration tip with a disperser. The disperser provides optimal dispersive solid phase extraction conditions. This Single Phase Filtration tip has two frit options available.  A low retention 50 μm frit and 30 μm frit.
