DPX Technologies Announces NiXTips™ for Nucleic Acid Cleanup Are Now Available
- Patent-pending NiXTips™ utilize a proprietary microporous media and buffer system to facilitate solid phase reversible immobilization (SPRI) within a pipette tip for automated size selection, PCR cleanup and ligation reaction cleanup.
- NiXTips provide high yield solutions for next generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation and other downstream analyses.
Columbia, SC – DPX Technologies, a biotechnology company providing solutions for automated sample preparation, announces their latest product for high efficiency workflows, functionalized pipette tips for nucleic acid cleanup known as NiXTips™.
As a leading provider of automated solutions for food safety, cannabis testing, clinical laboratory and forensic testing, this new technology allows DPX to support applications for the genomics industry with high throughput workflows for DNA purification and cleanup.
The launch of NiXTips provides the genomics industry with sample preparation products and INTip™ methods to replace costly magnetic bead protocols for nucleic acid cleanup. This product development followed research that was supported by NSF Phase 1 SBIR Funding, award funding that DPX Technologies received to develop rapid purification products for nucleic acid applications.

NiXTips
- NiXTips facilitate SPRI methods to allow for fast and effective removal of primers, primer-dimers, dNTPs, unincorporated labeled nucleotides, enzymes, and salts from PCR and other reaction mixtures.
- Boost efficiency and reproducibility with complete automation. NiX methods require less hands-on processing than traditional column or bead-based methods, reducing opportunities for sample contamination and experimental errors.
- NiXTips are readily available to order in 70 µL Agilent Bravo style tips (384 tips/box) and 50 µL Hamilton CO-RE II tips (96 tips/rack).
